cookie recipe for lemon chips

i'm planning on making cookies with my little person today... i really want to use the lemon morsels/chips... whatever you want to call them (lemon flavored chips)

do you regular chocolate chip cookie dough with lemon chips instead of chocolate would be good... or should i search out a different cookie (like a sugar type cookie?)

I've never heard of lemon chips, I have one child who would probably love them. I'd do a basic chocolate chip recipe, no cinnamon (but perhaps ginger) and sub the chips :yes

I'm thinking I'll split the dough and do half chocolate chip and half lemon chip. found the lemon flavored chips at either a PA dutch farmer's market in Annapolis, MD or a Mennonite farmer's market in Harrisonburg, VA.

(though I'd be tempted to make short bread and mix them in. Lemon flavored short bread is my favorite. :yum)

this sounds good too... but I've never done shortbread :-/

you could make ginger cupcakes with lemon chips too! either on the frosting or in the cake.....droooool

did the classic recipe on the yellow pkg, but subbed the lemon chips (we never do nuts) and they are tasty... i did small cookies, so they are a bit delicate... which works especially with the lemon!
