Novelmama, do you have a blog? A thread would be fun, but I think it would be a lot of work to upload to a blog *and* to GCM. I dunno... it might be worth it though.... :think

I was thinking about doing 365 and started out with sunrise pictures on the 1st. And then I realized as I went to bed last night that I didn't take any pictures at all Sunday or yesterday. :doh So I guess I'd like to try the 52 week challenge! :giggle Although I think getting the photos posted to my blog may be just as challenging as actually taking them. :shifty

I wouldn't be able to commit to anything more than the 52 one, but I don't know how to post pictures to my blog. And I haven't updated my blog in probably 6months because I was sharing a computer and didn't want anyone to know about it. Now I have my own computer again so I could start it back up.
I tried to add pics to my mommypress blog, but just could not figure it out. And it was months ago, so maybe I can figure it out, but usually it's way too overwhelming. It's hard to figure things online when you're a visual/hands-on learner.

i apparantly will not have the time i thought i would to do it today - gabriel started pulling plaster off the wall by our bed this morning, so my day has turned into get out the door and try to find something to cover the wall. :doh hopefully tomorrow i'll get a chance, or possibly tonight after he's in bed. i'll let you know.

A 2 page layout each week? Wow, that's a lot of scrapping! I've never seen that website. I've just recently gotten into digi-scrapping, but just for one vacation. I got too overwhelmed thinking about scrapping our whole lives, so I started doing books through picaboo.

I did 365 last year. It got annoying on some days - but I'm really glad I did it cause having the photo documentation is cool. It's not great photography by any means, but it is what it is :) (there's a link to my 2010 365 on my blog if you're interested)

I may do 52 this year. . we'll see. I take enough pictures that that will probably just happen naturally though.

:doh I just now realized that the rest of you are doing it on your blog not scrapbooking. I must have had scrapbooking on the brain or something.

RE 2 scrapbook pages a week being a lot, it's my hobby so I enjoy it but also you get faster at it as you do it more. I will probably most of the time make more than that, but the rest will be whatever theme I want.

I did it for 1 day....and then ds had surgery and it didn't happen, but it happened the day after and now 3 days since. :rockon So I have 4 forest pics. We might get a dusting of snow tonight so that would be cool to have a new picture :rockon oh and I set my alarm for a time when I'm normally at home to remind me to take the picture! Even if it's not quite the same time, it's helping me. :O

I will be doing Project 365. I'm taking the pictures now but haven't decided where I'll post them and I can't upload any pictures until we get home from vacation. So maybe I'll peek at all your set ups and see what you guys are doing. Any tips on making it work?

I know I probably should have been telling him "no, no" and cleaning up, but I just couldn't resist taking pictures! I thought it was more funny than naughty. He thought it was the most fun he'd ever had! (And now, any time he gets in the bathroom, he makes a beeline for the toilet paper!)

Oh I think it's a really cool idea! Maybe you could take the picture every day but just post one every week that kind of stands out? I definitely think a photo progression with all of them at the end would be really cool. :yes

Thanks! I think there is but some people I've given the link to say it doesn't work so I'm trying to figure it out. I'm new to Smug Mug and I think there is a way you can sort of create a blog of photos with and so when I get it sorted out I'll post a link.

Thanks! If you have Photoshop or Lightroom or something like that you can download templates and papers and stuff and scrapbook fairly quickly. That most recent one for my DH's birthday I mostly did while I was nursing my toddler :giggle Then when you have some time and feel creative you can do a more involved layout if you want too.

I have Gimp, which is supposed to be similar to photoshop I think, but I've had a really hard time figuring out how to do more than just really basic things in it.

So, a friend of mine suggested picking a theme or a shape to try and capture every day. I love the idea of having some sort of cohesive element, both for interest (yours AND my own) and for the challenge. Is anyone doing anything like that?

I'm considering doing something with the curvature that brings/sustains life. Like the womb, the breast, even bowls of fruit (lol). It would give me a chance to practice using my tripod too. But maybe that shape/concept is too limited?

I'm hoping it was just for the day. I do have a theme going, but I'm not exclusively sticking to it.

Hopefully I'll get a couple good pictures this afternoon and can feel back on track. I'm only behind a day - I just feel bad that it started so soon.
