Perhaps something like this already exists, but even if it does I'm never telling him because he was so excited to have thought of this. It's my new crochet project yarn organizing system!

Six separate containers in two different sizes. Each ball of yarn gets its own container. Thread the yarn through the hole, put on the lid, and if I'm switching between colors a lot I can put them all in the big box and even close up the lid, because even *that* lid has spots for the yarn to come through! I am forever dropping balls of yarn, even when they're pulling from the center. I LOVE this. :heart And when they're not in use they all stack together and store in the big box!
