I want to healthy it up. ;)

Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies

1c butter
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 c canned pumpkin
chocolate chips

It is also a very "wet" cookie so if I add something to kind of make it a bit drier that would be good.

I was wondering about adding or replacing oatmeal (whole or ground) and wheat germ to it. :shrug I have both oatmeal & wheat germ here. I also have applesauce, but there is no oil to replace.

I have a very similar pumpkin cookie recipe. Since it has chocolate chips in it, I'd try halving the totaly amount of sugar. I also use whole wheat flour in my recipe. Using whole wheat will help with the wetness of it.

Yeah, definitely just replace all the flour with whole wheat (or spelt?) Or maybe try replacing half the flour with ground oatmeal?

And of course you can just add some whole rolled oats to it as well, but that will dry it out *fast.* Maybe you could add some of the applesauce to compensate.
