Help! Is my cookie dough still good?

I've had it refrigerated for a week and it has eggs in it. :nails

Can I bake the cookies without worrying about them having gone bad?

I probably would. I'd probably taste the dough :shifty to see if it tasted off to me.

if you think about it the store kind lasts how long? yes they have preservatives in it but sugar can preserve things too and there is sugar in cookie dough. fwiw i have had cookie dough in the fridge that long or longer and used it and i'm still here :P~ if you are really worried, wrap it in saran wrap in a tube shape and freeze it for 14 days. that will kill anything that theoretically could have grown

Don't they sell refrigerated dough in the dairy section of stores? Wouldn't it have eggs in it? If so, then it seems like it would be OK. :shrug3

Like a PP said, I would taste a bite and see if it tasted off.

Up to a week, wrapped well. If you freeze it, it will keep up to 9 months.

haha i must really not be scared of bacteria!! i have had cookie dough sit out all day and still use it (what? you never started making cookies and then had all of your kids melt down on you and then find said cookie dough later in the evening and say oh just what i needed and make and eat a bunch??)

I would, and have done so with no ill effects. I just can't bring myself to throw out cookie dough. :shifty

I used it :yes The cookies are just egg white, almond meal and powdered sugar, so I'm hoping they're okay. :) I guess I'll know in about 24 hours. ;)
