Friday Five Minute Challenge

I'm hosting a dinner party tonight for dh's staff tonight. I'm taxed from two busy weeks and need to have a slow and steady clean and cook day! I know it can peacefully fall in place if I just get it together and get stuff done.

Laundry is started and breakfast mess tidied.

How about you? What have you accomplished so far?

Cleaned kitchen, which as a mess b/c I had to bake last night and then run out to a chruch party (and dh did zero housework after I left)
scrubbed both bathrooms
made both beds
uploading pics to shutterfly so I can order prints for Christmas gifts for grandparents (someone rmeind me next yera to do this thorughout the year or at least in October or something)

I'm trying to ward off the anxious feelings. It's an easy crowd tonight so I have no reason to fret...oh, except for the fact that dh tells me, "It's all about the food. These men need a lot of food to eat." :sigh I'm trying to not feel undermined and trust in my gut. I've seriously prepped enough food for twice the group! Back to my mantra: Easy crowd, easy crowd....

BTW, I've started lots of things, just haven't finished anything yet.

Finished Christmas Cards
Stripped my bed to wash
fed ds...he helped me by getting himself dressed. He is wearing a batman costume :shrug3 You're only four once :D

Needing to make christmas cookies, cheese crackers, and put together a veggie tray for tonight. Being the only gluten free family at a party can mean a lot of extra prep.

Tables set for dinner. Snack trays filled and set out. Half of the downstairs rooms are company ready (living room, dining room, bathroom, entry, and master bedroom/bath since a wee guest will need to go to sleep early).

:heart DH just offered to take the kids out for lunch and then either to the park or for a bike ride. I might have time to spiff up my planters outside with fresh cedar boughs. :tu

Fully opened third account. I have worked harder today than I normally do all week. This has been a strange, hectic week. We normally process one or two accounts in a week. I've done multiple every day this week. It's insane.

I am only doing so many insurance checks because I am trying to get the ones done ahead since I will be off next Friday.

My planters are winterized (well, in theme...I'm not sure how the painted sticks and fresh boughs will hold up to our winds) and sure do look pretty. :)
