I want to make some cinnamon apples. Stewed apples, whatever you want to call them,
Mine always come out more caramally, and that is not what I am going for. Does anyone have a good recipe that they come out more like Boston Market or Cracker Barrel type cinnamon apples?

I don't add any sweetener. Just use LOTS of butter and cook them down until all yummy. Adding more butter if necessary cause they soak it up. Right before done at some cinnamon.

I don't think they are exactly like boston market...never had theirs but they are GOOD.

SOunds like you've been cooking them in too much sugar. Do what Renee says and if you want to add some sweetner add it at the end so it doesn't carmalize as much. Here is the boston market recipe
