how do i know how much liquid/diced tomatoes with juices to add?
i'm making lentil/chickpea/sweet potato stew
6 hours on low enough to cook it?

no actually, but thanks for asking. i just made something else....
i'm just not sure how much liquid to put in if i don't use a recipe:shrug3:think

It resallydepends. Dry beans and grains will soak stuff up. My crockpot gets really hot on and will loose some steam out the sides if it gets going.
I just do water to cover otherwise things will roast and stick to the pot.

I think it depends a lot on the crockpot. I used to have one that would go dry really fast, but my current one doesn't.
oh, and with the combination in your first post, I wouldn't add tomatoes (or other acids) until any lentils/beans/peas are cooked soft. Otherwise they might never get soft, no matter how long they cook. :shifty
