I picked this book up at a second hand shop for 25 cents! I didn't expect it to be so awesome. It has affirmed things I do and reminded me of things I need to work on. Words are my weakness. I can be unintentionally harsh as can my husband.

Best part? There are little summary reminders that I can copy and post around the house so even if Bart won't read the book he is going to read the short reminder notes. :yes

I love all of the books by those two ladies. If you loved that one, you have to read Liberated Parents, Liberated Children too. It was amazing.

I love that book, too! It's so helpful with practical ideas and scripts rather than just parenting "philosophy" like other books I've read. I need to re-read it as well!

I love :heart that book. This book is probably the one that is helping me the most. I should take the little summaries and post them around the house. Good reminders for me and maybe dh will read it too.

I liked how it turns the table too. We are asked to evaluation how we would feel if the same things were said to us. That really helped me. I don't realize how often my well intentioned words are entirely missing the mark.
