I have a curry recipe that starts with onions sauteed with sugar and salt, then adds dry mustard, garlic, ginger, chile, coriander, and curry powder and cooks a liitle longer until fragrant. Then water is added to the pan and potatoes, cauliflower, and carrots are simmered at various times until done. The seasoning is corrected with salt and pepper and a final garnish of cilantro. The dish is served over rice with mint-cucumber raita.
So my question is, Could I saute about 3/4 pound of ground beef along with the onion? Any adjustments I should make? I do not have much experience with Indian food.
