Fixed!!!

My DH is awesome. He learned how to open my iMac (thanks to youtube) and replaced the dead hard drive. :rockon Now I have my computer back!! He's trying to retrieve data from it...if he can't, I've lost 6 weeks of photos. For us, that is a lot. Hundreds. :sigh I am now going to religiously back up my hard drive--every week!!! Thankfully I had done it in Feb...since the time previous to that was August! Back up those hard drives, mamas!!! Monthly!

Gina I was just talking to dh about this type of thing...he has a friend with a degree in some sort of computer something or other :giggle. Anyway, his friend says that if all else fails, to put the hard drive in the freezer. Sometimes they can get a tiny crack which prevents you from recovering the data. Putting it in the freezer will sometimes shrink it down enough for just long enough to get the data. Hope this helps!
