View Full Version : Question about feline friskiness

So, I have these two cats that I've been feeding. They were totally wild, but with food and patience they have become very sweet. They are male and female, I think former littermates, and I estimate they're about 18 mo now.

We had the female spayed about 10 days ago.

Now my question is, does it take a while for her hormones to subside?

I ask because I keep seeing the male mounting her and trying to do his business even though she is spayed.

Can someone explain?

Toms will push as far as they can. My own (I used to raise bengals, he's since snipped) would pester everyone regardless of where they were reproductively.

Good on you for having her spayed!

Little does the tom know that he's next! ;)
