Check in the automotive section of WalMart or Target. You can get microfiber cloths a lot cheaper that way. If they are wide enough, they might fit right on your swiffer. Now, I haven't used a swiffer in a LONG time. Do they still have the little holes on each corner that you push the refill through and that's what holds it on?

Try the Target O-mop covers -- they should fit...

If you crochet, I have a pattern that you could make a cotton one out of.

Me too! I might just go back to swiffering if I can crochet a cool pad for it :giggle

If you would be willing to do a trade for something I could make one for you.
Here's a couple patterns for those that wanted them...

I'm sure there are some knit patterns out there.

that's so sweet :heart
i actually just got back from target and picked one up there. one cloth cost HALF of what a whole box of swiffer refills cost :jawdrop. waste of money and resources! if i'm not happy with this one or need another...i'll hit you up! ;)

I love this idea! I have been moaning lately about the cost of swiffers.
So can you just rinse out the microfiber pad after it's good and dirty?

:yes
Just be sure you NEVER use fabric softener on them if you put them through the wash. It ruins the absorbing properties of microfiber.
