front loaders - what about soaking?

I've had my front loader for a year, but this is just coming up now. I have a couple of DS's outfits that are badly stained. In my old washer I would have soaked them overnight with some oxy etc.... Should I just soak in the sink? Other ideas? My washer (LG) does have a "stain cycle" but I'm not really sure what that does.

:think My front loader has a "soak" cycle that goes for about 35 minutes. Maybe the stain cycle is just a different name for the soak cycle? I'd try that if I were you, and if that doesn't do it then just soak it in the sink. Good luck getting the stains out!

I think our front loader is LG too (I think), and it has a stain cycle. I'll try to remember to check the manual next time I switch laundry to remember just what it does.
