Ok, photog mamas! (firefighterwife, Bhope, etc) What is your favorite lens? I have the kit lens and the 50mm f/1.4, and now I want something else, definitely that can be wider than the 50. What do you suggest?

Do you have a price range in mind? I have a Sigma DC 18-200mm 3.5-6.3 Superzoom. It is an amazing lens. It covers a wide range of focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto. It's a bit slow for inside but outside, the shots are amazing! I love it. It's lightweight and great for a walkaround, especially nature. It was $510.00 last year but B&H has it on sale often. The AF mounts fit Canon, Sony, and my Pentax ...and maybe a couple more, but not sure. If I remember right, it will not AF with a Nikon. My book for it is packed in a box labeled MA bound ;) It was a gift from my wonderful daughter :)

Oh that's good. How do you like it? Is it one that's a must for the bag? I'm always looking for a good lens. I have an older 70-300 Tami telephoto but it's so big and heavy, I don't use it much. What's your favorite lens?

I haven't had much chance to use it yet...but on the few dozen shots I've taken, it's nice! :nak2 I also have 50mm 1.8 and love it. Do you have a 50?

How is your new Tamron for indoors?? Is 2.8 pretty fast? Yup I do and I LOVE my 50. Hubby got it for me last year for Christmas, and it rarely comes off my camera. I would love a new lens again this year but my gift is my trip to MA. to see Chelle and the Littles so I won't whine too much ;) I'm a Pentax girl and would love a new K7 but the price is waaay up there right now. What do you shoot with?

2.8 is great! I shoot with Canon, because that's what hubby bought me a few years ago. :giggle

Michelle is a Canon girl. We have *friendly* debates all the time ;) It was always in fun when we had our photography business. I have a huge respect for her camera and her work. If I ever did the switch, it would be to Canon but I have so much Pentax equipment it would be tough to start over. :shifty
