:bag I can't find my cupcake tin anywhere. I'm guessing it's in storage. :ph
But I do have cupcake papercups... can I use those just on a flat cookie sheet?

No, they will spread...do you have small custard bowls?

They do sell foil cupcake liners you can put on a pan and bake in...but I don't think regular liners will work by themselves...

Argh! I don't have any custard tins. Foil liners is a great idea! :tu
What if I use an 8" square baking pan and pack the cupcakes in tightly?
I hate to run to the store for this (and running out of time since the bday party is quickly approaching :bag), so it's either the square baking pan with cupcake liners or a square cake instead. Which is okay, but I had my :love set on cupcakes for some reason. :giggle

I have done this before and they turned out ok. A little square-ish rather than perfectly round, but ok. :yes

They're in. :shifty. They look rather awkward in there. My nephew is lucky I'm no perfectionist. :lol I think when they're done, I'll use the rest of the batter in the square pan.
I think you could put liners in coffee cups...

I've done them in paper liners on a flat baking tray before and they were fine. I suppose it depends on your mixture though. :shrug Hope they're good. :)

That is a good idea, as long as they were oven safe!

:tu Thanks for the ideas, ladies! I ended up making 9 cupcakes in the 8" square pan. They looked squashed, but were tasty. :yum I just did a giant cupcake with the leftover batter and that was good, too.
