4 c frozen strawberries
3/4 c sugar
1/2 t kosher salt
3 T frozen limeade concentrate
2 c ice
2/3 c silver tequila* optional
2/3 c triple sec* optional
Heat 2 c of strawberries, 1/4 sugar & salt in med saucepan over med heat. Heat until berries begin to release their juices, about 5 min. Mash until fruit breaks down. Simmer until mixture is syrupy & reduced to 3/4 cup, about 5 min. Stir in limeade concentrate & transfer to large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until well chipped, about 1 hour.
Place mixture & remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Dip chilled glasses in mix & then in salt. Pour mix into glasses & garnish with a whole strawberry.
