I'm knitting my first toy and it's turning out much larger than I expected. I'd like to felt it, but I'm not sure how... :scratch

I obviously have to stuff it before I finish it, but how would the felting process go with an already stuffed toy? Would I just not stuff it really full so that when it shrinks it will be just right? :think

I know some people here knit/crochet felted food and stuff, right? How does it work?? :help

:yes Just don't stuff it super full. You want it to be full, but not firm. Wash on hot with detergent, and just keep checking until it's the size you want it.

Perfect, that is just what I was wanting to hear! :) And of course you know I'll post pics. I'm so bad at finishing projects though, I've got three wool soakers waiting to be lanolized (two of which are also waiting for elastic waistbands), but by the time I get to the end of one project I'm bored with it and ready to start a new one. :giggle
