:think Hmmm. I think a lot of the qualities of the shirt- the crispness of the pleats, and the fluttery sleeves- would be lost if a knit was used. It's a beautiful shirt!

Thank you ladies. No, I didn't use knit but still plan on using some. I am just trying to figure out how much smaller do I have to make it so it could be snug at the top.

Very easy. Just remember to measure the chest strap on yourself before attaching it to the bottom of the shirt. I noticed that mine was too big even after double checking the measurements and was able to fix it before attaching it.
