I have pieces of unfinished quilts that my great grandma started. TBH, we have enough blankets plus an aunt who quilts now & my mom who crochets. Some of the unfinished quilts aren't that nice, but I love this one.

It could probably be made into a table runner based on the size & shape of it, but it doesn't fit our style & I don't want more unused useless stuff.
So I thought about making it into a skirt with a drawstring waist so it would fit me no matter my size

There is plenty of material for it to be really full, even on my current size. It would probably go a bit past my knee. I would hem it so that it was uneven at the bottom just like the current shape.
What do you think? Good idea? Bad? Silly? Totally unstylish? Cute? Etc. I don't want to *ruin* something she made, but at the same time I would like it to be useful. So you can also hit me with other ideas. ;)
