So this is the 3rd back stitch piece my dd has done. :rockon She loves sewing like momma!! This one is a turtle for her new cousin. I'm hoping my brother and his wife will love it. I framed it this morning. She's starting on an elephant for her brother next. :yes

Thanks!! :heart She's soo proud of it and LOVES doing it. So all she's doing is backstitching. I draw the line out for her. She started with a very simple flower pattern, and then a heart. I showed her how to do a couple of stitches and helped her practice meeting the two stitches together. She really took to it like a duck to water. The part she's working on is in a hoop so it held nice and taut for her. I help her start and stop with the tucking in of threads still. The needle is not super sharp but it goes through the fabric easily. She loves picking out the fabrics and the thread colors as well. :yes

I want to try this with dd. :heart

Thanks for sharing :) You have a very talented little girl (and I must say I think you have way more patience than I do, but I'm going to MAKE myself patient to teach dd this.)
