Tell me if I'm missing something here...

If I wanted to do this but make it adjustable, I could do it with ribbon, right? I could leave the ribbon long enough to tie at different circumferences, and perhaps secure the last tulle knots to the ribbon so they wouldn't slide off when the ribbon was untied.

I made this skirt for Nora for her first birthday. It is beyond adorable. I dressed mine up with different colour & width ribbons mixed in with the tulle strips... on a few of the ribbons I threaded flower shaped buttons for a little extra decoration.

I've seen tutorials where they've done it with a ribbon... I think they were on flickr. :think

sil made one for abs 6th bday last yr, but instead of doing a double knot she did a loop knot. folded in half, wrapped around and pulled the ends through the loop the folded half the tulle created (clear as much, right? :giggle)
