My first cabling. I used knitpicks shamrock peruvian, so much nicer imo that other peruvians i've worked with. I underestimated the yardage so on half of the last leg to cast off i had to use a different yarn, cant really tell though. and of course i then had the drawstring issue, so i used a pink that i thought would be nice w/ the variations. it didn't look complete then so i added to the bottom of the legs as well. jo wore them an i discovered they were not colorfast!! so i heat set them and it gave the drawstring a blue tinge, lol!!!

These ones i made big, i imagined doing a flared leg that would be able to fold up, did my increases too late though, and when i did the increase i believe i'd need for that effect it left the yarn colors pooling, so i did extra increases a couple rows later and am very pleased with how the ruffle turned out even though it's not exactly what i had in my mind

and i had a skein of undyed lion's wool, i had a friend over and we decided to dye it. I used koolaid for all but the black, and for that was wilton's food coloring. we 'handpainted' the colors on and discovered the black was not setting so i ended up having to do a kettle dye of the black, then heat set the colors. this will be knit into an easter skirtie (I hafta pick up some more undyed and will do a lime green undershorts)
