I want to dye my nylon diaper covers

Can somebody walk me through it? I want to use gel food dye b/c that's what I have, and I'm hoping for a LWI type effect. I found a few things through Google, but they weren't specific enough for me.

Never done it so I'm not much help, but I believe that the bum genius 1.0's were nylon and people dyed them so maybe googling that might give you better instructions?

I dyed my bG 1.0 with kool-aid and vinegar. I'm sure I googled for the directions. Hope you find what you need!

Thanks, yasmel, those did help. I ended up googling silk kool aid dying, and that gave me some good stuff. I liked http://www.thenewhomemaker.com/koolaid-scarves, and pretty much used that method. I'll take pics when they're all done and dry.
