How often do you run your dishwasher?

The other thread on what do you put in the dishwasher piqued my curiosity about other people's dishwasher habits.

So, how often do you run your dishwasher?

i put usually once, but sometimes twice a day. i guess we just use a lot of dishes, lol. sometimes if i get lazy about doing dishes (i do NOT like doing dishes, even putting them in the dishwasher) or dh forgets to help out, we'll skip a day and then have to run twice in a day.

At least once a day, twice if I cook more than once. I usually handwash a sinkful too. :rolleyes2

I voted 3 times a week, some times that is running it back to back on two days and then not again for 3 or 4 depending on how many dishes we go thought - but I only have two people in my house.

When DH is home and/or we have houseguests, daily. When he isn't and I'm not using paper :shifty, every other day.

good point I have a huge one and only two people

I put a load through at least once a day, sometimes twice. I used to do more dishes by hand, but one day a friend told me that she realized that letting her dishwasher do most of her dishes freed up an amazing amount of time and made her life less hectic. I used to feel guilty if I ran the dishwasher too often, as if it was a luxury and expense that I could do without. :doh I was making my life too difficult for my own good by my frugality in this area! :no

But we have 5 people in my house and we all eat 3 meals a day here. Most of the time it's run once a day and every other day is a second run.
