Side note: Is carnation owned by Nestle?

I know green smoothies would be healthier but I really want something that is super quick. And if its lower carb/lower fat/cal that would be great. I'm not really doing it primarily as weight loss, but kinda sorta (if that makes sense). Meaning I'm not going to follow the slim fast plan of two shakes a day plus a sensible dinner.

Yes, Carnation is a Nestle product. I haven't found a good alternative except to make my own from-scratch smoothies.

They are pricier than the grocery store...but, they are SO GOOD. My kids drink them and I drink them. My youngest, Miss. Picky Picky, begs for them.

Are you looking for something that's already made, in a can, ready-to-drink? Or are you looking for a powder that you can mix into milk/juice/water and have a quick drink? Or are you looking for something to make a quick smoothie/shake out of??

Just curious - seeing if I can think of something for you, but wondering what exactly you're looking for. :)

Either pre made or something to just add to milk and shake up.

I looked but couldn't find the grams of sugar per serving? Since I am currently obsessing about sugar... :lol

I enjoy Spirutein--and most of their products are now gluten free :tu

Hmm... Well, Juice Plus+ does make a powdered smoothie mix (called Complete) that you can just mix with some liquid and drink it. Chocolate and Vanilla are the two flavors (I like the Vanille mixed with o.j. - tastes like a creamsicle). So, that might work for you. (If you want, you can see my siggy for a link.) I do prefer it blended up with a banana or something, but I guess it depends on what your other options are (if you need to get it made quickly, or if you have some time to put something in it). But the JP+ Complete is a fantastic blend of whole-foods, and makes a great substitute for a meal or a snack, and has very good, quality ingredients.

Anyways... I don't want to get on a soap-box, but I do think that it's a really good option to consider.

The sugar grams are 18g. They also have protein powders that are less sugar grams, but the taste isn't as absolutely delicious.
