Monday 5 minute challenge

I need this badly. I have a long list to accomplish today & I don't wanna. :bag

Here is how these work if you haven't played before: when you open this thread, get up from the computer & do 5 minutes of cleaning or other chores. Then come back & post what you did. That way it will reappear in our unread topics & "motivate" me to get up and do another 5 minutes of cleaning.

the more you do, the more I do (or the more I ignore the thread :lol )

brought down dirty laundry, sorted it, flipped some clothes to dryer, started load in washer

unloaded dishwasher, put dirty dishes in, put a couple things to soak.

finished finding homes for things in kitchen (minus the catch all hotspot), did a quick sweep, emptied trash & put in new liner.

The kitchen is no longer disgustingly embarrassing.

5-10 minutes cleaning up toys in living room with "help"

clean sheets on the bed, blanket is washed and now in dryer, sorted through old magazines to pull recipes out, and had breakfast.

To do today:
* clean bathroom
* finish picking up bedroom, finish making bed, vacuum
* get the dryer looked at. again. :(
* clean out car
* drop off rent check

Made up beds, picked up all laundry on floor including all the clothes on the closet floor that all needs rewashed now since I don't know what is clean and what is dirty. :doh picked up trash around bedroom. Bedroom looks decent now. It's amazing what 5 mins can do. :O

moved some things from formal living room to garage, flipped laundry & started another load

finished getting stuff out of the formals that didn't belong, cleaned up some trash that missed the trashcan, helped E clean up some sequins that went everywhere when P coughed

I'm d.r.a.g.g.i.n.g. myself in here. I don't wanna come. I don't wanna clean. But I need to. :sigh

My to do:

-call naturopath and make appointment to get homebirth RXs
-two loads of laundry
-kitchen
-sort toys
-vacuum couch/cushions
-get a few packages ready for mail later this week
-do something tactile and meaningful with the kids...it's snowing, so maybe we'll make paper snowmen.

I probably shouldn't get more ambitious than than. :tissue :yawn :cup

Maintenance called and they will not be here for the dryer until tmw morning. While I am at my dr apt of course. :sigh I prefer they come while I am here, but upstairs is clean now and I have been here when they come often enough to know that our maintenance guy is good with our cats - they love him, and he usually takes a few minutes to pet and play with them while he's here. So I'm not worried about them getting in his way or anything.

So since the dryer won't be fixed until tomorrow - I have laundry going today.

I got the counters scrubbed, the pots washed, the kitchen swept and mopped...now the kitchen's *done*! :phew And I'm taking a breather.
