5 minute challenge - are you new?!?

get up and do something for your home for 5 minutes (you can set a timer) and then come back and tell us what you did. everytime you see this thread come up in new posts/new replies (or at least acknowledge that you see it ;) ) you go do another 5 minutes. the more you do, theoretically the more i do :phew

took care of dry dishes that i washed last night (yes i had a shiny sink when i went to bed :rockon )
took care of breakfast dishes
working on grocery list

next up is to get books together for library and get gigi and myself dressed

I haven't done anything yet - even though it's nearly 10am :/ - but here's my list...

* Bathe kids / Shower for me
* Clean up the 'stuff' all over the kitchen, dining & living rooms
* Fold & put away laundry
* Iron DH's shirts
* Start laundry again

* Plan menu for the week
* Buy groceries, if needed

* Calculate fabric needed for slipcover
* Go to JoAnn & Lowes for supplies
* Start cutting/sewing

I'm going to try. I have to get everyone out of the house before 10 today, and I'd love not to leave a disaster in my wake. HOWEVER, my toddler thinks whenever he sees the computer that it's his turn. :giggle So, I may drop out again.

well i did get my list finished, the books together, and gigi and myself dressed. we went to the library and the grocery store where evie cried most of the store and then home. i unloaded the car, carted the groceries upstairs, took care of freezer and fridge stuff, and then nursed evie - of course after having fallen asleep in the car she wouldn't go to sleep. so i made lunch, gigi and i ate, while evie cried (on my lap - wouldn't touch any food. i have now taken care of lunch stuff and will nurse evie - hopefully to sleep... so, i won't be back here until later this afternoon :sigh

Washed the dishes in the sink (ew), restarted a load of towels i found in the dryer that I apparently didn't ever turn on (like Friday :bag), rearranged the dishwasher (that dh so helpfully loaded this morning :giggle), gathered the dirty clothes out of the bathroom floor. Sigh. My house will never be clean.

For about 1 hr. I stayed focused and feel good about how my house is starting to shape up: I did a quick clean of the master bathroom, dusted master bedroom and bathroom, made my bed, put away laundry, tidied all bedroom surfaces and relocated items that belonged in other rooms, then went on to the living room where I tidied and dusted! I started on the kitchen when my tummy started to growl for a banana break. :)

I just did 5 mins. Put away the clean dishes, threw away some trash that was on the counters, cleaned up a spilled glass of water, and a dumped out package of crayons, and picked all the apples out of a bowl of oatmeal for my dd. Oh, and I checked on the laundry, which was still soaking.

So, I just picked up my living room and put away a load of laundry.

Get outside and enjoy this beautiful sunshine! Went for a mile hike with baby in the Ergo!

i need to remember this is here every monday since thats when i really have to get the house back in order.
so far today ive:
done a load of laundry
tidied the kitchen/loaded dishwasher and put up clean dishes
refilled all the bathroom soap pumps with homemade hand soap
cleaned the toy room
did the girls' hair (yes I have to add that here :O)
cleaned coat closet/entry

Since my last post we've been to playgroup, ate lunch, cleaned up from lunch, flipped laundry and finished unloading dishwasher.
