it's Thursday, Let's clean! 5 min challenge

I'm always surprised when I'm the first one to start these. :lol You know the drill, when you see it pop up in your replies, go set a timer for 5 min and clean, then come back and tell us what you did so it pops up for everyone else.

I'm starting with getting laundry going for the day.

picked up a couple things, got laundry switched.

So far today...
Folded/hung-up & put away 3 loads of laundry (that have been sitting around for four days!)
1 load washed & dried; 1 load washed & drying; 1 load washing
Tidied all bedrooms & misted w/ lavender water [they'll be cleaned next week]


Still left for today...
Completely finish the 3 loads in-process right now
Empty d/w; reload d/w
Write up dinner instructions for DH
Prep decluttered items for donation tomorrow morning (bag them & make a list for tax purposes)
My desk could use a little tidying too

Laundry here too... apparently last time I did a switch of the loads, I didn't actually get the next one running in the washing machine :doh (I remembered why - Jude got smacked & I had to go take care of him & the offending older sibling - never went back to the laundry room!) so now my dryer will be empty for a while :shrug3

:sigh I wasn't supposed to be home all day, but my ob appt got rescheduled b/c the dr had emergency surgery. So, here I am for a bit & my house is so bad. :bag

I'm going to take care of laundry (which was started yesterday) and then the kitchen.

Good morning. I went ice skating all morning, and have otherwise only tidied up from breakfast and lunch. I'm off to do errands in a bit, so my list reflects this:

Flip laundry
Return items set aside (L's, Auntie E's,video store, J's)
Phone care group members, invite 2 more families to join (phone calls are such a chore for me :sigh)
Mail cheque
Phone cabinet installer
Phone painter
Copy photos
Costco shop
Quick tidy of house
Make list for mother's helper (kitchen floors, kids' snack, outdoor play)
Shop for tile

I'm feeling better already, I think I can accomplish all this in the 2.5 hrs. I have a helper over (well, in all honesty I might procrastinate on the phone calls :shifty)

Okay, we tidied the living room/dining room. The kids are comandeering the computer. . . I will finish the kitchen, bring in groceries, and then read for a while. :)

got dishes going, put away a load of laundry, restarted the dryer.

I just had to post to say I got my Christmas decorations all down and put away in storage and furniture back in place. Along with it I vacuumed and dusted the family room and living room. I'm glad that's done. :phew
