That's what my hands look like when i've been messing in hay. Put a little benadryl on em and see if it helps?

what are the symptoms?

Last Friday she started acting sick. Had a slight fever and was lethargic for two days, wouldn't eat anything. By Monday, we all had cold symptoms and stomach issues - diarrhea and queasiness. :sick At lunchtime today, I noticed a welt on one of her finger's and asked if they hurt. She said no. :shrug Tonight at dinner, she said her lips hurt and her hands hurt, and they looked like the pic above.

Is it hand foot and mouth? She had that a few months ago. Is it possible to get it again?

Her hands got a little better and tonight they got worse than the original pic! I can't figure out why.

It looks a lot like an allergic reaction.

That's what I was thinking, but I can't think of anything new she touched today. Can you develop new allergies?

Yes, indeed.

I reacted badly to strawberries. Just once. Turned out to be a new pesticide, and I wasn't the only one to react. So it was a one time reaction to a food I hadn't reacted to before.

Well, this definitely isn't a one time reaction. :scratch I noticed it after she had an orange slice at dinner. She refused to eat any more, and she normally loves them. So maybe?

Just realized something - I bought some new detergent for diapers and one of the ingredients is cornstarch. She helped me fold and put away diapers today.

Is she allergic to corn?

My hands got raw a week or so again--and then extremely parched and sore---took me awhile to figure out it was the dishsoap--I'd been overdoing the exposure to coconut and the fragrances in it.

I've not had any experience with hand foot and mouth....but my first thought was contact dermatitis---allergic reaction.

Does she put her hands in her mouth a lot? If so, that would make sense that her mouth/face was bothering her. (I do the same thing when I have stuff on my hands--rub my nose or something after using soap I shouldn't have and then wonder why I'm feeling how I do...)

If her mouth is irritated, that's probably why she refused the oranges too. :hug

She's constantly putting her hands in her mouth. They look a little better this morning, but she still has a few swollen spots.
