Need storage solutions

for our coats/mittens/hats, etc. right now we have a plastic bin by the back door. but when they can't find somethign they dump it and then it's all over the place. We have 3 hooks, but that's not enough for snow pants, coat, sweatshirt etc for 4 kiddos. I need some ideas.

The area is between our sliding glass door and the back side of the kitchen counter. There is a door to access that back corner cupboard.

How much space do you have? Can each person have a basket/cubbie for mittens/hats/etc?

Is there space for more hooks?

Can you change the hooks to 4, so everyone gets their own? Maybe a second row of hooks to hang the mittens, hat and scarf above...or the kids can tuck those things into the sleeve or hat of their jacket. Maybe the cupboard that is accessible by the hooks can be used for containers to hold little odds and ends?
