I am very new to sewing but have some experience. I was wondering if it would be possible to take to wool army blankets sew them together and put elastic straps on them to put on our king size bed as a mattress cover. My other question would be how to water proof them and if anyone knows if I wash them will they shrink. I will also look on line to see what i might find. I thought i read about this being done somewhere before. I will let you all know what I find and look forward to hearing from any of you that have done this or something like it or even that you know enough about sewing to tell me what would work and what wouldn't.
