View Full Version : How to clean my laminate countertop?

I have the following problems that soap & a scrubby-sponge won't help:
1. Rust, from empty, wet aluminum cans that make rings of rust while drying before being recycled
2. Black scuff marks, from the little rubber things on the bottom of my Magic Bullet (which have now been pried out & thrown away! :mad )
3. Other stains, probably tomato-based?, where I stack my dirty dishes before putting them in the dishwasher

Any ideas? :smile

I use the "soft scrub" recipe from the natural cleaning recipe stickie in this forum. It works REALLY well. :yes

Homemade soft-scrub and/or Mr. Clean magic erasers.

Yeah, I was going to recommend baking soda, vinegar & dr. bronners. Works on red food coloring.

Bon-Ami. Safe, natural and only a buck!

Baking soda and a scrubbing sponge get all stains off our countertops (but make for a nasty smell so I don't do it often - wonder what toxins are being leached out when they are scrubbed hard :sick).
