When I use my microwave, it smells like burnt plastic. Help.

SO just in the last couple days, when I use my microwave it smells like burnt plastic.

AFAIK nobody melted any plastic inside it. The smell seems to be coming from the vent, rather than from the inside of the microwave.

Help! Is my microwave kaputs? The smell is kind of nasty and HAS to be toxic. Help!

I don't know. . . personally, I try cleaning it with lemon juice/baking soda water - boil that combo in the microwave and then let it sit a while and see if it helps with the smell. :shrug3

I have a piece by the vent I can take out and clean in mine.



That reminds me, my microwave needs some attention.
