I have a little blind house finch coming to my feeder. I noticed her because she would be staying on the feeder for long periods of time even when she wasn't eating, and before she lands on anything, she does this extra flutter-about around it like she needs more time to figure out where to land. I can sneak up on her and watch her eat from right next too her and I touched her once (she flew away - I won't do that again.) She is missing at least one eye, I haven't looked at the other side of her head though.
I love her. :heart

you will love this song: http://www.myspace.com/chipdavismusic go on the right side of the page, under the myspace music player, to the snocap box, and double click on the first track "The Blind Sparrow"

That is so sweet. I have never heard of a blind bird in real life. :heart

I wonder if you have any bird enthusiasts around you who would be interested in this. Animals surviving in "nature" with such a disability is amazing.
