growing rosemary?

My SIL gave me a sprig of rosemary. Its still sitting in water but how do I successfully plant it? I want to plant it in a pot so that it will be closer to my house and I can smell it when I go out. :P~

remove the little leaves from the bottom, enough to be able to stick it in the soil. then insert the end, maybe 4cm into a little pot filled with sand and potting compost. water well (but not too well!, ie don't let the soil gert waterlogged) and keep covered with a propagator lid, or just a clear plastic bag will do. Your little cutting should get roots in maybe 8 weeks? You can then transplant to a bigger pot. We have found rosemary grows really well and you are hard pressed to kill it!!
