I found a large tub of nutritional yeast and red lentils in my pantry when I organized it. They're at least a year and a half old. Still good?

eek....haven't smelled it. I'm afraid :lol

I found an article that said nutritional yeast can be stored in a cool dry place OR refrigerated and that they keep indefinitely. Dried lentils can be kept for a year, but not too much after that? I don't know though. I mean what makes something "go bad". I don't see any mold or weird growth on them so I can't imagine they're bad. :shrug
