Hmmm, not sure as someTHING is eating the leaves off my bean plants and squash too. I heard about a diluted dawn/water solution so I'm going to try that on my replants.

Is it slugs? I've had some luck with putting beer in shallow dishes to kill slugs.

Around here, my boys pick and eat the green strawberries :no I think I've had one ripe one...and our plants were loaded :giggle
