We're hosting our church for lunch on Sunday. Typically, the end of the year wind up event has been held pot-luck style at a local park. This year, DH and I decided our backyard would be a better fit - especially because we have running water. :giggle As we are turning it into a bit of a "thank you" to some of the work that our church has done, we're hosting the whole thing...which means I'm making the meal. :nails
Here's what I have planned:
- hot dogs (tradition, can't get out of that one)
- oven "fried" chicken
- macaroni salad with a savory dressing
- pesto potato salad
- bean and veggie salad
- buns
- sliced cheese and some veggies
- lemonade punch
- watermelon
- frozen "creamsicle" squares
Does that sound ok? We could have anywhere from 20 to 50 people there, so I'm hoping I make enough! However, I'm the queen of making too much, so I should be fine.
