I'm doing all this work to finally finish the painting and declutter/deep clean the rooms to get the house EXACTLY where *I* wanted it, just to move! :P~ ;)

it was in watching all of the HGTV "sell that house" shows that I decided to fix the house up for US to live in--not just in time to sell. Maybe this can motivate you to settle in with this in mind at the new place :hug

We've said the exact same thing about our last two houses. We made them into our dream homes just to sell them! I told dh that I wasn't going to do it for a third time in a row, so we have been working on this house *for us*. Its much better this way ;)
