When we moved into this house 3 years ago, the living room/hallway had what looked to be new marble tile put it. After a few years of wear, we realize that whomever installed it (most likely do-it-yourself) did not seal the grout and now we have what used to be white grout, looking brown and dirty and flaking off in areas. Any idea on an easy way to remedy this? I will most likely be doing it and am pregnant, so preferably safe products to use if there are any.
I was thinking of being lazy and just bleaching or painting the grout :O but realize that won't work in the areas that are cracking and flaking. In all honesty, the floor should be ripped up and re-done, but waaaaay too much money for us.
We are looking ahead to putting the house on the market, BTW.
