I've never used one of these things and someone just gave me an older version. I've wanted one of these for a long time, but can't find concise instructions on how to use it. I have chicken in there now and I have to do two batches because I bought 10# from the coop.
1) How do I know that the pressure has gotten up to what it should? I brought it to a boil, but have no idea if I should leave it there, so I turned it down to low. Doesn't seem like much is happening now.
2) Is it normal for steam to escape from the sides?
