How to find what gardening zone you're in by zipcode (no guesswork!) :D

Aparently, i'm in zone 8a, een though somone else had told me i was zone 9.

My temp goes down to 10 degrees in the winter so according to this http://www.usna.usda.gov/Hardzone/ushzmap.html zone 8a is accurate.

I like the no guesswork part! Looking at the maps I always thought I was in a different zone than I really am- and it still looks like it on the last link you posted but apparently I'm in a little spot that I can't see on the map ;).

Nice little link there... thanks! It said I was in 2a, just like I thought. When I get my Veseys seed catalogue, they have me pegged in 1a.

I think there may be a problem with the site. It's putting me in 9a, so I tested it with the city near us that's actually listed on the USDA Hardiness Zone Map (http://www.usna.usda.gov/Hardzone/ushzmap.html) as 9b and it still said 9a.
