kids daily chores

How often do your kids do a pick up of their toys?? My mom thinks it is awful to make the kids pick up their toys everyday. I like to have the living room and den picked up. I dont mind messy rooms too much. I was thinking of a daily pick up right before Daddy comes home in the evening.

We do at least once a day, sometimes more. Of course, she is only 2, so I play a big part in the clean-up process. I find that if I don't do it everyday, it takes so much longer to get it all picked up when I finally get around to it. Plus, a cluttered house seems to put me in a bad mood. :shifty

I definitely agree with having a daytime routine for picking up. We don't just have our kids pick up to keep the house clean...we have them pick up to train them how to take care of a house and their belongings. I think it is even more about the lesson learned than the actual result of a clean house (though I hate it when it is messy!)
