I like to have a clean broom and a dirty broom. I don't like the idea of sweeping up something icky and then using it on the floors inside.

yes but by nature your garage floor is inherently dirtier than your kitchen floor per say. The grunge and grime from the garage in the house.

We have two. It drives me baty for DH to use our indoor broom to sweep the porch and stuff full of bugs gardening junk and often wet stuff.
