:smile I have no gardening experience! I am wanting (actually dd's idea) to plant flowers first and then venture out into organic veggies.

I would appreciate any book recommendations. I'll also look at the web resources here.

Thanks!

I don't do flowers - just starting that this year - here are some vegetable gardening resources our family has loved :) Both are organic

Square foot gardening - excellent resource especially if you have limited space.
The Vegetable Gardeners Bible http://www.amazon.com/Vegetable-Gardeners-Bible-High-Yield-Gardening/dp/1580172121/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1205930871&sr=8-1

Not a book but a great resource for troubleshooting problems with veggies and fruits is the garden's alive catalogue www.gardensalive.com -- gardens alive is a great source for nutrients and fertilizers (environmentally friendly products). We have successfully figured out many a problem using this catalogues extensive pictures. We have also figured out what pests were invading our houseplants recently

The forums at www.organicgardening.com are a great resource, as is the magazine itself. I'd recommend a subscription, I've learned *so* much from that mag! I haven't read that many books but a local indie bookstore will usually have some books that are for gardens in your particular area.
