Should I make a banana cake or banana bread?

If I make a banana cake, would it taste okay with icing? I wish I had some cool whip and cream cheese, but of course DS couldn't eat it then and he might hurt me (seriously, this kid loves baked goods).

I could also make banana bread with chocolate chips. Which should I do?

I did the bread. DS was appreciative. I had two college students tell me how good it smelled and begged me to make some for them. So I am for their study session on Tuesday.
