I saw an infomercial at the hospital about this and was very interested :) I have thought about it before but just haven't done it.
Debbie Myer's Green bags http://www.greenbags.com/ 20 bags for $9.95 plus shipping (reusable up to 10 times)
Evert fresh green bags http://www.reusablebags.com/store/evertfresh-green-bags-pack-medium-p-27.html?gclid=COLdpK3I7JACFQUsPAodBDFxXQ
$7.95 for 10 large (1.5 gallon). $5.45 for 10 medium (1 gallon). $3.25 for 10 small (1/2 gallon) reusable 8 to 10 times
I think the evert fresh are sold at whole foods - or something very similar. If I can find this at Whole Foods, I'll probably buy them there cuz it would make it for sure chepaer than the others with no shipping involved :)
the bags must be used with only one type of fruit/veggie in them each time and must be rinsed with warm soapy water and dried before reusing.
Keep fresh http://www.keepfresh.com.au/q&a.asp SOmething you put in your produce bin (can be used on refrigerator shelves IF you put it close enough to the fruits/veggies) This is in Australian product and I honestly don't know if its expensive or not $32.00 for a dispenser and 12 month pack for each draw (twin pack) 12 month single pack is $18.00 (AUD). I have to look on a conversion site and see. When I hit "contact us" to find out how much shipping to the US is, I get an error message.
I haven't used any but am thinking seriously about it. Right now, we happen to be doing fantastically not wasting produce but it's not always that way. And we would save a lot of money and possibly could cut back to shopping to every 2 weeks :think
I am curious if anyone has tried these and if they work or are not worth the money??
