$20 at Target and it rocks :rockon

I have a good vaccuum cleaner for the rugs but it doesn't do floors great; I am sick of sweeping and having it blow around still--having to sweep 3 times and still not getting edges :banghead

This thing is amazing and gets EVERYTHING with super powerful suction, no way to clog (no hose!) and it breaks down to be a hand held too :jawdrop

taking notes...I seriously need a vac for floors. Seriously. I'm waiting for the dust bunnies under my furniture to rise up and start a rebellion here.

well what's interesting is I Thought we were doing a "pretty good" job with it--until we cleaned with this thing and saw what it really looked like "clean" :shifty

yeah, someone post a link when you can! DH just finished paying off our $200 vacuum (which we totally couldn't afford & shouldn't have got.) It weighs more than me (slight exaggeration) and is incredibly hard to use...needless to say, it rarely gets used. :shifty

We love our Oreck electrik broom, too! And it's easy for kids to use, which is such a bonus LOL.

Is it this one? http://www.target.com/Shark-Quick-Quiet-Sweeper-UV1725/dp/B0002XYEY8/sr=1-3/qid=1194660087/ref=sr_1_3/602-9385397-4557444?ie=UTF8&rh=k%3Astick%20vac%20shark&page=1

We have ceramic tile in our kitchen, and it has a lot of texture. It was here when we bought the house, and although it's pretty it's not what I would have picked for a kitchen. Needless to say, it has been impossible to clean with anything except an old fashion broom and and scrubbing it on the hands and knees.

Question - is it by any chance cordless? I *so* want a cordless stick vac that can also be used as a handheld.

it's actually this one http://www.target.com/Shark-Stick-Vac-Silver-Blue/dp/B000R4DTXO/qid=1194664817/ref=br_1_4/601-8852211-0212118?ie=UTF8&node=13910511&frombrowse=1&index=target&field-browse=13910511&rank=pmrank&rh=&page=2

and cordless is the only thing that could be improved on it ;) But you can do what my mom did which is put a 50 ft extension cord on it :giggle

With the pergo we just put in I've been looking for something that will get the dust and crumbs up. We've had the same Oreck for six years now and it was fabulous on the carpet, but not so great on the laminate.

What is it about this vacuum that makes it good for non carpet floors? I'm interested.

It actually has a hard strip that keeps the dust and crumbs from escaping behind or being blown anywhere :yes It also doesn't have a hose to get clogged with hair and food particles :tu
