New to blogging (Livejournal): how can I make it better?

I'm going to be blunt, so please don't feel offended :nails.

1. Change the font
2. Change the color scheme - the greens look very early-90's-computer
3. Change your format-style (there are a bunch of really nice pre-fab profile layouts with well-put-together color schemes)
4. Add some links and some tags - both of those are helpful for me when I visit a blog to see what you're interested in.
5. Get an avatar
6. Consider changing your username - 'lemmecheck' sounds like slang instead of a blogging name
